1) Yes race is an issue in sports. Probably more in society but there is for sure issues wit race n sports.
2) No, it is no acceptable for anyone to make racial remarks of any kind to anyone. Also, it does not matter if its about a player or a fan. A racial remark is a racial remark.
3) Yes and No. There are several cases of players making money and making it out of poverty due to sports but also its not just 'kids of color' who can make it out of poverty.
In light of analysis of the evidence in the Tony Stewart incidence, there will be a grand jury convened to adjudicate the matter, as this article explains.
Ultimately, I think that it will be impossible to determine with whom fault lies in this incidence. Obviously, it is tragic that Kevin Ward was struck and killed, but he should never have been on the track and I do not understand how anyone will be able to prove that Stewart’s actions were anything but an accident. This to me is just adding to the media frenzy surrounding the event and will, in my opinion, just reach the same inconclusive results we already have, only after having wasted people’s time and taxpayers’ money.
I am curious to hear what other people think and have thought about what happened and now what will happen. The bottom line is that, while it was tragic, it was most likely an accident (and if it was not, I have no idea how that will be proven).
